Abstract
In this one-hour PechaKucha session, Carmelina will share some effective research methods to help spark innovative design thinking and execution. During this turbulent time, it is difficult to wrap our heads around the issues we face. As designers, we are all here to help solve our world's largest challenges during a pandemic through designing innovative products and services. Carmelina will walk us through discovery and delivery during this trying time using LUMA Human-Centered Design Methodology: Looking, Understanding and Making and British Design Council's Double Diamond Design Model: Discover, Define, Develop, Deliver.

Carmelina Piedra is head of UX at Panduit and a certified professional career coach, mentor, and educator for those wanting to learn #moreaboutux and speaker at a variety of UX conferences. Her passion for user experience design started close to 20 years ago when developers built sites that didn't function well and she wondered why. Her background includes leading and executing innovative teams and products from user research to execution in Agile and Waterfall.
