If you can't join Zoom due to the participant cap (or any other reason), we'll have a recording up after the session.

We're not in Antarctica, but MeetUp obliged me to pick a location, so I picked one you won't inadvertently take a ride share to.

🌷Scaling GitOps at InfluxData -- Rick Spencer, head of platform, InfluxData

Gitops is a way of doing DevOps using git repositories as the source
of truth for all of your configuration and code, and automating all
deployments from those sources of truth. Our team is running a
database as a service on Kubernetes in multiple regions of multiple
clouds, and we use Gitops to do this successfully and help us add even
more clouds and regions without multiplying our effort. This talk
includes an introduction to Gitops as well as specifics regarding how
InfluxData has implemented this practice. The target audience of this
talk includes Engineering Management, as well as DevOps practitioners.

Rick Spencer is the head of platform at InfluxData, where his
responsibilities include leadership of core storage engine, developer
tooling and running InfluxDB Cloud 2.0 on Kubernetes in multiple
clouds and regions
