Agile and DevOps may seem like different movements, but if you look at their goals, you find that they are strikingly similar. That is, look at the “why” of DevOps, and look at the “why” of Agile.
As the goals of Agile and DevOps align, it is not surprising to find significant overlap in the practices that surround them. In many ways, the intersection of DevOps and Agile relates to a culture of collaboration and modern technical practices and processes which emerge from that culture.
It is important to note that the definitions of Agile and DevOps are often confusing because they have been co-opted as marketing terms and twisted in the process.
